I was amazed when my 8-year-old took one bite of these Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwiches and immediately said, ‘Mama, you should make these more often!’ 😂 My oldest daughter is obsessed with Chicken Caesar Salads—seriously, she asks for one in her lunchbox at least twice a week. So whenever I’m looking for a meal I know my whole family will enjoy, I knew these Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwiches had to be on the list. And let me tell you, they were a hit. The crispy, flavorful chicken paired with the creamy Caesar salad makes these sandwiches so delicious, and they’re an easy way to turn a family favorite into something a little different.

These Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwiches are perfect for game days, busy weeknights, or quick lunches when you want something filling without spending hours in the kitchen. They are easy to serve when everyone is gathered around watching the game and make a fun change from the usual game day snacks.
If you are short on time, there is an easy shortcut! You can make these sandwiches with frozen breaded chicken instead of making the chicken from scratch. Just cook the chicken according to the package directions, slice it up, and add it to your sandwich with the Caesar salad mixture. It is such an easy way to get dinner on the table when you are in a hurry.
I also love how easy these are to customize. You can make a batch for the whole family, serve them for lunch, or prep the Caesar salad mixture ahead of time and assemble the sandwiches when you are ready to eat. Simple, crispy, creamy, and family approved!

For this recipe, you’ll get perfectly golden, crispy chicken that is fried on both sides until the coating is browned and crisp. I chose to make the chicken from scratch this time, and it gives these sandwiches that extra crunch that pairs so well with the creamy Caesar salad mixture. Every bite has that crispy chicken, cool and creamy Caesar salad, and just the right amount of texture to make these sandwiches so satisfying.
This was my first time making homemade Caesar dressing instead of reaching for a store bought one, and it made such a difference. The dressing is creamy, tangy, savory, and full of fresh flavor that really brings everything together. Paired with the crispy chicken and crunchy lettuce, it adds that little extra something that makes every bite taste fresh and delicious. I guess you could say it brought all the, no pun intended, freshly zesty flavors to the table.

Honestly, mixing this lettuce mixture together ahead of time is such a time-saver! The crisp lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, Parmesan, and flavorful chicken come together beautifully, giving every bite the perfect balance of fresh crunch and savory flavor. It makes assembling these sandwiches quick and easy, especially when you’re short on time but still want something fresh and delicious.
Time-Saving Tip: Use Breaded Frozen Chicken Cutlets
Assemble the Sandwiches
After toasting the bread in the oven, remove it and let it cool for a minute or two. Spread a generous layer of the Caesar lettuce mixture onto one slice of bread. Add the crispy chicken cutlet on top. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan, if desired. Top with the second slice of bread, then slice and serve!

Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwhiches
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven broiler to high. Slice 4 small rolls in half lengthwise and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine 80 g unsalted butter, ½ teaspoon freshly minced garlic, 1 tablespoon finely chopped flat-leaf parsley, and ½ teaspoon sea salt flakes. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of each roll. Sprinkle with 50 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes, or until the bread is golden, crispy, and lightly toasted. Keep a close eye on the bread so it doesn't burn.
- While the bread is toasting, prepare the Caesar filling. In a large bowl, whisk together 250 g whole-egg mayonnaise, ½ teaspoon freshly minced garlic, 2 finely chopped anchovy fillets (optional), 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon sea salt flakes, and ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper.
- Add 1 shredded romaine lettuce (or 2 baby romaine lettuces) to the bowl. Toss everything together with tongs until the lettuce is evenly coated in the creamy Caesar dressing.
- Once the garlic bread is toasted, layer each roll with 1 cooked chicken schnitzel and a generous portion of the Caesar lettuce mixture. Finish each sandwich with a sprinkle of 50 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately while the bread is warm and crispy!
Notes
- Watch the bread closely: The garlic bread only needs 2–3 minutes under the broiler. It can go from golden to burnt quickly, so keep an eye on it.
- Save time: Use frozen, pre-made chicken cutlets or schnitzels instead of making chicken from scratch.
- Prep ahead: The Caesar lettuce mixture can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until you’re ready to assemble the sandwiches.
- Keep it crispy: For the best texture, assemble the sandwiches just before serving so the toasted bread stays crisp.
- Customize the Caesar filling: If you’re not a fan of anchovies, simply leave them out. You’ll still get plenty of creamy, tangy Caesar flavor.
- Extra Parmesan: Don’t be shy with the Parmesan! A little extra sprinkled over the finished sandwiches adds even more savory flavor.
- Best served fresh: These sandwiches are best enjoyed immediately while the chicken is warm and the garlic bread is crispy.
